Intro to Artificial Intelligence

This Series of posts is focused generally around the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We'll start by looking at what AI is, and also cover the many different ways that it can be executed and implemented using computers and modern technologies in additional posts.


Part 1 - An Intro


Artificial Intelligence is a very broad field, and far from being isolated to computing, and it encompasses a number of different areas such as philosophy, neuroscience, and psychology. It is necessary to note however , that rather than simply trying to know intelligence, AI practitioners seek to build or create it. The applications and uses of AI are many and varied, and although many think of humanoid robots once we talk about AI, you could be surprised to know that we encounter implemented AI in our daily lives.

AI Is full of big questions - how can an entity (either biological or mechanical) believe? How does this understand or resolve a problem? Is it a machine really be intelligent? What is intelligence? The answer to these questions might not be simple, but there's an answer staring us in the mirror thus that we know the search to learn is achievable.


Through This collection of posts, I'll be exploring the many unique strategies, sub-fields, programs, and questions that we encounter when researching this vast and exciting area of research.


Component 2 - What is AI?


Firstly In fact, the words we use to describe the topic are ambiguous. The expression artificial could have subtly different meaning; consider what we mean when we refer to'artificial lighting'. This is truly mild, that's been made with a man-made source.

A system is rational if it gets the correct decisions.


Broadly Speaking we end up using four acceptable targets in generating AI - methods That think like people, systems that behave like people, systems that Think logically, and systems that act rationally. In the next part of The series, we will begin to examine each in detail.
