Artificial Intelligence as a Study field was born in the summer of 1956 Through a seminal workshop at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
It was only a year earlier that when Marvin Minsky, Nathaniel Rochester, Claude Shannon, and John McCarthy proposed that they should hold a workshop to compile a roadmap about how to make machines think and find similarly to people. The ultimate goal was to find computational units in order to allow machines to perform commonsense reasoning. Today, John McCarthy is considered the father of AI.

I should notice that the term" Artificial Intelligence" appeared for the first time at the proposal put forth by the previously mentioned scientists. And so this new discipline that would eventually captivate everybody's creativity was born.
Artificial Intelligence had its own ups and downs from the last 50 years. Early success solving small problems in simulation sparked a flurry of predictions about super-intelligent machines taking over the world before the arrival of the 21st century. Hampered by a lack of a fantastic understanding of how commonsense reasoning operates in people and too little computational resources, computers were very slow up before the mid-nineties, AI research stalled in the 80s. A lot of people hurried to dismiss it as nothing more than hot air.
But science is all about suggesting and testing new theories in order to locate the best ones. Considering that the mid-90s, AI research has progressed by leaps and bounds. We now have a better knowledge of how the human mind functions and that has helped us to locate and test better computational units for AI. These, in turn, also have helped us to understand the functions of your mind. New techniques such as statistical analysis are helping smart agents to copy with considerable amounts of information and noisy detectors. Faster computers with vast amounts of storage are enabling us to experiment in more challenging domain names and solve larger problems.
It's correct that AI has not yet been able to produce a machine capable of commonsense reasoning. However, by specialty, many AI systems are actually running our world these days. AI assists us fly planes and drive our cars. It aids doctors to perform operation.
It helps us locate info in the vastness of the World Wide Web. It helps us discover spam email and delete it. It helps us traffic lighting and public transportation. It helps us analyze financial markets and also make predictions about the results of sports events. It aids in the surveillance of public spaces enhancing safety and security. These are only a tiny sample of this penetration of smart systems in our everyday lives. Artificial Intelligence is here to remain and I wager it won't be long until we have the knowledge, approaches, and resources to finally construct learning and thinking machines. Let us hope that such technologies would simply be used to benefit mankind and not destroy it.
